Privacy Policy — Vikram Tea SFA

Application: Vikram Tea SFA (Google Play package com.vtsimobile)
Published and operated by: Agkiya Technology & Consulting LLP
Last updated: 4 September 2026

Vikram Tea SFA is a private sales force automation application used by the field sales staff of Vikram Tea and its authorised distributors. It is not a consumer application. Accounts are created and issued by the company; there is no public sign-up. This policy explains what the application collects, why, who it is shared with, and how long it is kept.

Location is collected in the background. When a sales representative taps Start Day in the application, it records their location periodically — roughly once a minute while moving, and every three to five minutes while stationary — and it continues to do so while the application is closed, in the background, or the screen is off. Recording stops when the representative taps End Day. It does not run outside that window. While recording is active, the application shows a permanent notification titled “On Duty — Vikram Tea” so the representative can always see that it is on.

2. What the application collects, and why

DataWhy it is collected
Precise location, including in the background To build the route a representative travels between retail outlets during working hours, to confirm that outlet visits took place, to check that the assigned round of outlets (the “beat”) was covered, and to calculate travel distance for expense reimbursement.
Attendance — the times Start Day and End Day are tapped To record working hours and mark daily attendance.
Visit, order and sales records Outlet visits, orders placed, stock noted and related business activity entered by the representative.
Photographs taken in the application Photographs of shop fronts, in-store displays and outlet profiles, captured by the representative through the camera. Some photographs are tagged with the location at which they were taken.
Voice recordings Only when a representative chooses to record a customer complaint, because typing in front of a shopkeeper is impractical. Recording is started deliberately by the representative and is never automatic or continuous.
Account and device information The user name issued by the company, and device and notification identifiers needed to deliver messages and to keep the account secure.

Data we do not collect

The application does not collect contacts, messages, call logs, photographs from the device gallery, browsing history, or any financial account details. It shows no advertising and does not sell personal data.

3. Who the data is shared with

Location routes, visits, attendance, photographs and recordings are uploaded to servers operated for Vikram Tea and are visible to the representative’s own managers and to authorised administrators within the company. This is the purpose of the application: a manager is expected to see where their team worked.

Data is also processed by the following service providers on our behalf:

ProviderPurpose
Google Firebase Cloud MessagingDelivering push notifications to the device.
DigitalOceanHosting of the application servers and databases.
OpenStreetMapMap imagery. Map tiles are requested as maps are viewed.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. Data may be disclosed where required by law.

4. How long data is kept

Location routes, visit records, photographs and voice recordings are business records of the company. They are retained for as long as they are needed for the operational purposes described above and for any statutory, tax or audit obligations that apply, and are deleted or anonymised once those purposes end. Account records are kept for as long as the account is active.

5. Security

Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS). Passwords are stored only as salted one-way hashes and are never readable by us. Access is limited to the representative’s own reporting line and to authorised administrators.

6. Your choices

Location permission is granted by the representative through the Android system prompt and can be withdrawn at any time in Android Settings. Withdrawing it stops location collection; route tracking and distance-based reimbursement will not work without it, and other parts of the application continue to function.

Because accounts are issued by the employer, requests to access, correct or delete personal data should be made to the privacy contact above or through your manager. We respond within the timelines required by applicable law, including India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023.

7. Children

The application is issued only to employees and authorised distributor staff and is not directed at or intended for children.

8. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the revised version will be published at this address and the “Last updated” date above will change.
